Founded in 2011 by Dr. François Pelen, Patrice Pouts and Raphaël Schnitzer, Groupe Point Vision is the leading network of ophthalmology medical centres in France, with more than one million medical consultations in 2018.

Point Vision has been pioneering the emergence of a new generation of ophthalmology medical centres, granting the population access to high-quality eye care treatments within a significantly reduced time frame. With 2018 revenues of c. €70M and 30 centres across France regrouping 300 ophthalmologists and 170 orthoptists, Point Vision has built a strong leading position in the eye care consultation and surgery.

The transaction accelerates Groupe Point Vision’s development by strengthening the Group’s capital structure and governance:

Historical shareholders (Jaïna Capital and YAM Invest) disposed their stake to Abénex (shareholder since 2014) which become majority shareholder and to Selium Invest, Antoine Héral’s investment vehicle.
Governance has been strengthened to meet the Group’s growth challenges. While founders will continue their activity within the Group, Antoine Héral, a healthcare-focused entrepreneur, will join the Group as CEO.
