Gian Matteo Bruni

With over 25 years of experience in debt markets, credit advisory and capital markets execution, in 2025 Gian Matteo joined CASE CASSIOPEA as Partner to lead and develop the firm’s Debt Advisory practice.

He spent most of his career at Mediobanca, where he held senior roles in both Milan and London. As Senior Banker in the Debt Origination team (2019–2024), he advised a wide range of corporate clients across industries on financings, acquisition debt and private placements. Previously, as Global Head of Loan Syndications (2013–2018), he led the origination and distribution of syndicated and leveraged loans in Italy and across Europe.

Earlier roles include positions at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (now BlackRock) in high-yield bond funds asset management and Unicredit (Banca CRT) in London. Over his career, he has originated and executed complex financings for leading Italian corporates and institutional investors.

He graduated in Economics and Banking from the University of Siena.
